Her journey with me started with wedding photography. She was a bride first, trusting me to capture one of the biggest days of her life.

Then came boudoir.

And this time, the session was a gift from her husband.

Because apparently one photoshoot wasn’t enough. 😂

From bride to boudoir

There’s something pretty special about photographing someone more than once.

By the time Emma came back for her boudoir photography session, we already knew each other. The nerves that can come with stepping in front of a camera were replaced with familiarity, laughs and the confidence that comes from knowing you’re in safe hands.

Boudoir photography isn’t about looking a certain way or fitting into a particular idea of what sexy is supposed to look like.

It’s about creating images that make you look at yourself and think:

“Actually… I bloody love that.”

And yes, Emma absolutely smashed it.

Then Emma became a House of Gods goddess

Emma later joined me for a shoot at House of Gods, where the whole vibe was turned up another notch.

Dark, dramatic, glamorous and a little bit outrageous — basically the perfect excuse to play.

And this is one of the things I love most about photography.

You don’t have to fit into one box.

You can be a bride.

You can be a wife.

You can be a woman who wants to try boudoir for the first time.

You can dress up, get completely out of your comfort zone and become a House of Gods goddess for the day.

Or you can do all of the above.

Photography that grows with you

Emma’s story is exactly why I love photographing women at different stages of their lives.

From wedding photography in Scotland, to boudoir photography in Perth, to completely creative shoots in some of Scotland’s coolest locations — photography can be whatever you want it to be.

There doesn’t need to be a reason.

You don’t need to wait until you’ve lost weight.

You don’t need to wait until you’re more confident.

You don’t need to be a model.

And you definitely don’t need to know what you’re doing in front of the camera.

That’s my job.

My job is to guide you, make you laugh, tell you where to put your arms and legs, and occasionally tell you that you’re doing something absolutely ridiculous while secretly knowing the photographs are going to look bloody brilliant.

From bride to boudoir to goddess

So Emma started out as a bride.

Then became a boudoir client.

And eventually became a House of Gods goddess.

And honestly?

I bloody love that for her.
