Some wedding days just have something about them — and Bethany and Joe’s beautiful wedding at Kinkell Byre in St Andrews was absolutely one of those days.
As a Scottish wedding photographer, I get to photograph weddings in some incredible venues across Scotland, but it’s the people, the emotion and the little moments that make each wedding truly memorable. Bethany and Joe’s day was filled with love, happiness, laughter and so many beautiful moments that I couldn’t wait to share it.
A Beautiful Kinkell Byre Wedding in St Andrews
Kinkell Byre is such a stunning Scottish wedding venue, and it provided the perfect setting for Bethany and Joe’s celebration. With its beautiful rustic character and countryside surroundings, it was the kind of backdrop that made photographing their day an absolute dream.
But, as beautiful as the venue was, it was the atmosphere that really stood out.
From the excitement and anticipation earlier in the day to the laughter, happy tears and celebrations that followed, there was so much genuine emotion everywhere you looked.
And that is exactly what I love about wedding photography.

Of course, there are the beautiful portraits and those photographs you’ll treasure forever, but some of my favourite images are often the moments in between — a look between two people, a huge laugh with friends, a parent becoming emotional or a fleeting moment that nobody else noticed.
Bethany and Joe’s wedding had so many of these moments.
It was honestly one of those days where you could feel how loved they were by the people around them. The happiness was infectious, and photographing that genuine connection was an absolute privilege.
