There are some jobs that remind me exactly why I love being a photographer.
And then there are the ones that make me stop for a moment and think, how lucky am I to be part of all this? ❤️
This gorgeous baby shower at Ibrox was definitely one of those moments.
I first met Dianne when I photographed her boudoir session in Glasgow YEARS ago. Then I had the absolute pleasure of photographing her wedding. Later, I was there to capture her daughter Chloe’s gender reveal, and now I’ve been invited back to photograph another very special occasion — a baby shower celebrating Chloe and the little one on the way.
Dianne is about to become a granny!
And honestly, being there to document so many chapters of the same family’s story is one of the most heartwarming parts of what I do.

A baby shower at Ibrox — and a whole lot of love
There’s something rather special about celebrating a new arrival at Ibrox Stadium.
For this family, it was a day filled with excitement, happiness, familiar faces and so much love for the newest little person who’s about to join them.
Baby showers are wonderful occasions because they’re not just about presents, decorations and celebrating the mum-to-be. They’re about bringing people together before life changes in the most beautiful way.
They’re about the people who will be there to help, support, cuddle, spoil and love that baby as they grow.
And for Dianne, this celebration marked the beginning of a whole new chapter.
From being the woman I photographed for boudoir, to becoming a bride, to watching her daughter Chloe prepare to become a mum herself — what a journey to have witnessed through my camera!
I imagine there will be plenty of stories to tell this little one in years to come. And now there are photographs to go alongside them.
From boudoir to wedding, gender reveal and now a baby shower
One of the greatest privileges of being a photographer is when clients return to you time and time again.
When someone first books a session, you might be meeting them for a particular moment in their life. A wedding. A boudoir experience. A family celebration.
But sometimes, that first booking turns into something much bigger.
You become the person they call when the next milestone arrives.
I’ve photographed Dianne’s boudoir session, her wedding, Chloe’s gender reveal and now this beautiful baby shower. Each occasion has been completely different, with its own emotions, atmosphere and reasons to celebrate.
And that’s what makes it so special.
I’ve had the privilege of documenting different chapters of their lives, watching their family story unfold and capturing moments that they’ll be able to look back on for years to come.
Photography isn’t always about one big event. Sometimes it’s about all the little pieces that join together to tell a much bigger story.
And when I get to be part of that? Well, it genuinely means the world to me.
A special mention for Big Marvin Andrews 💙
And I can’t talk about this lovely occasion without mentioning the one and only Big Marvin Andrews!
Marvin is a Rangers legend, and I’ve had the pleasure of being around him at both the wedding and this baby shower.
He’s just the most positive gentleman there ever was.
You know those people who have a lovely way about them, who bring warmth and positivity into a room and make being around them a pleasure? That’s exactly how I feel about Marvin.
It’s always lovely to see a familiar face again, especially at occasions that mean so much to the people involved.
And having someone like Marvin there adds another special connection between these family milestones.
It’s little things like that which make photographing events so enjoyable. Every celebration has its own characters, stories and moments that you couldn’t possibly plan in advance.
My job is to be there, camera in hand, ready to capture them as they happen.
Why photographing life’s milestones means so much to me
When people think about photography, they often think about the finished photographs — the albums, the framed prints, the images that end up on the wall.
And of course, I love creating photographs that people will treasure.
But there’s something else that matters just as much to me: the trust involved in being invited back.
To photograph someone’s wedding is a privilege.
To photograph their family celebrations afterwards is another.
To be there when their daughter reveals the gender of her baby, and then to be invited to document the baby shower, is to become part of a continuing story.
I never take that for granted.
Life moves so quickly. Families grow. Children become parents. Grandparents take on new roles. People who were once celebrating their wedding day find themselves preparing to welcome the next generation.
And in between all those milestones, there are so many little moments that deserve to be remembered.
That’s why I love what I do.
Whether I’m photographing a wedding, a boudoir session, a gender reveal, a baby shower or another family celebration, I want to capture more than just what everything looked like.
I want to capture how it felt to be there.
The laughter, the excitement, the hugs, the happy tears and those little interactions that might seem ordinary on the day but become priceless with time.
Because one day, these photographs won’t just be pictures of a baby shower at Ibrox.
They’ll be memories of the day everyone came together to celebrate Chloe, the day Dianne was preparing to become a granny, and the people who were there to share it all.
And that is something truly special
