Give Yourself Grace This Week

A new week doesn’t have to mean becoming a completely new version of yourself.

You don’t have to have everything figured out. You don’t have to be productive every minute. And you certainly don’t have to wait until you’ve lost weight, changed your body or reached some imaginary version of “good enough” before you allow yourself to feel beautiful.

Give yourself some grace this week.

As a boudoir photographer in Scotland, I see this all the time. Women come into my studio and tell me about the parts of themselves they don’t like. Their tummy. Their arms. Their scars. Their age. The things they wish they could change.

Then something wonderful happens.

They start to see themselves differently.

Not because their body has changed.

Because the way they see their body has changed.

That’s one of the reasons I love boudoir photography so much. It isn’t really about creating a collection of beautiful photographs. It’s about giving yourself permission to celebrate who you are right now.

Not five years ago.

Not when you lose weight.

Not when you feel more confident.

Right now.

So, whatever this new week brings, be a little kinder to yourself. Celebrate your body. Take up space. Wear the outfit you’ve been saving. Book the photoshoot you’ve been thinking about. Rest when you need to. And stop waiting for permission to feel good about yourself.

You don’t need to earn the right to feel beautiful.

You are allowed to start this week exactly as you are.

And maybe, just maybe, you’re already more than enough. ❤️
