Studio Photography in Scotland: It’s Not Just for Boudoir 😂

I LOVE using my studio.

Like, a lot. 😂

And yes, I’m a boudoir photographer, so the studio gets plenty of use for that. But here’s something you might not realise:

My studio photography package isn’t just for boudoir.

In fact, if your photoshoot requires anything other than boudoir — or anything that requires more clothes than underwear 😂 — the studio session package is the one you’re looking for.

So, what can you use the studio for?

Pretty much anything!

The studio is a private, controlled environment which makes it incredibly versatile for all sorts of photography sessions.

Maternity Photography

Want beautiful maternity photographs without relying on the weather, a particular location or the time of day?

A studio maternity photoshoot gives you a completely controlled environment where we can concentrate on you, your bump and creating beautiful images.

You can bring different outfits, dresses or whatever you feel amazing in, and we can create a variety of looks within the same session.

Family Photography

Family photos don’t have to mean standing in a field while everyone squints at the sun or even worse……the wind and rain (hello Scotland) 😂

A studio family photoshoot is a great option if you want something a little more relaxed, clean and timeless.

Whether it’s just you and the kids, the whole family or something a little more chaotic (which, let’s be honest, is often where the best photos happen), the studio gives us a brilliant backdrop for your photographs.

Dog & Human Photography

Because let’s face it…

Your dog deserves professional photographs too.

Whether you want portraits of your dog, photographs of the two of you together or a full-on dog-and-human photoshoot, the studio can be transformed into the perfect setting.

And yes, I absolutely believe your dog is part of the family.

Fitness Photography

If you’re a personal trainer, fitness professional, athlete or simply want some seriously good photographs showing off all your hard work, studio photography is ideal.

We can create strong, clean and professional images without worrying about distracting backgrounds.

Perfect for websites, social media, marketing, portfolios and personal branding.

Branding & Business Photography

Need photographs for your website?

Social media?

Marketing?

LinkedIn?

Your new business?

Or perhaps you’re just completely sick of using the same five photographs of yourself?

Yep. This is for you.

A studio branding photoshoot gives you a bank of professional images that you can actually use across your business.

We can create a mixture of traditional headshots, full-length images, lifestyle photographs and more relaxed branding content depending on what you need.

And because we’re in the studio, we can change the background, lighting, outfits and overall feel to give you plenty of variety.

And that’s just the start…

The great thing about studio photography is that we’re not restricted to one particular type of session.

If you’ve got an idea, ask me.

If you’ve seen something on Pinterest and thought “I want that!”, bring it with you.

If you’re launching a business, celebrating a milestone, creating content, updating your portfolio or simply fancy having some bloody brilliant photographs taken…

Let’s talk.

It doesn’t always have to be in the studio…

Although I LOVE my studio, I’m not actually tied to it.

I regularly travel for photography sessions across Scotland and beyond, so if you have a particular location in mind, there’s a good chance we can make it happen.

Maternity sessions, family photography, fitness shoots, branding images, dog photography and all those wonderfully random ideas you come up with can often be photographed on location too.

Sometimes a studio is exactly what you need.

Sometimes the perfect backdrop is your home, your business, the great outdoors, your gym, a beautiful Scottish location — or somewhere that has a bit of meaning to you.

I’m very much a “let’s see what we can do” kind of photographer.

So don’t assume that because you don’t want a studio session, I can’t help.

Just ask.

Why use my studio?

One of the biggest perks of studio photography is control.

We aren’t relying on the Scottish weather. ☔😂

We don’t have random people walking through the background.

We don’t have to worry about whether the light is going to disappear behind a cloud.

And we can create a completely different look simply by changing the lighting, backdrop, styling or outfit.

It also means we can take our time creating the images rather than rushing because it’s starting to rain.

Which, in Scotland, is always a distinct possibility.

Where do I book?

If you’re looking for a studio photography session in Scotland for anything other than boudoir, you’ll find my Studio Session Package on the booking page of my website.

That’s the package to choose for maternity photography, family photography, dog and human photography, fitness photography, branding photography and other studio-based photography sessions.

And if you’d prefer your session somewhere else, or you’re looking for a photographer to travel to you, get in touch and let’s chat about what you’re planning.

If you’re still not sure which package you need?

Just ask.

I’d much rather you message me and tell me what you’re looking for than book the wrong thing.

Because although boudoir is a huge part of what I do, my studio is capable of so much more.

And as you can probably tell…

I absolutely LOVE using it.

Perks of the job, right? 😂
