Your Images, Your Choice

Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing a truly wonderful burlesque client.

As always, she left with her full gallery of over 550 images, and as always, there is absolutely no pressure for clients to allow me to share any photographs online. Your images are your images, and your privacy will always be respected.

This lovely client was happy for me to share a small selection of edited photographs, which I’m incredibly grateful for. When we discussed sharing any unedited images, she asked if I could check with her each time before posting. While I completely understand and respect that request, it isn’t something I can realistically manage on an ongoing basis.

One thing that makes my approach a little different is that once your gallery has been delivered, you’re welcome to edit, crop, filter, or share your images however you choose. I don’t place restrictions on that. They are your memories, your photographs, and I want you to enjoy them in whatever way feels right for you.

In fact, if you choose to edit your own images, I actually ask that you don’t tag me in those versions. My editing style is part of my brand, and I want clients to have complete freedom to create something that feels authentic to them without worrying about whether it represents my work.

Likewise, if you’ve chosen not to grant permission for me to share your images, that choice is fully respected. My clients’ comfort and trust will always come before social media.

Photography is about creating images you love, not creating obligations. ❤️
