Family Photography in Scotland | A Little Reminder of What I Do

Many of you know me for my boudoir photography, and rightly so. It’s my passion, my speciality, and a huge part of what I do at Robyn Allan Photography.

But every now and again, something reminds me that there’s a little more to my photography world.

Over the last two weeks, I’ve photographed FOUR families.

Only one was a familiar face. The other three were completely new to me and my business, and all three found me simply by Googling!

How lovely is that?

Now, I should probably explain something.

I’ve stepped away from actively offering and advertising family photography. It’s not something I currently promote or push as a main service on my website or social media.

However, that doesn’t mean I’ve stopped doing it altogether.

When someone gets in touch to enquire about family photographs, I’m always more than happy to have a chat and see how I can help. If it’s something I can accommodate, then absolutely, let’s make it happen!

And that’s exactly what happened with these lovely families.

Four sessions, four individual stories, and the opportunity to create something meaningful for people who found their way to me in a slightly different way.

One beautiful gallery I can share ❤️

Of those four families, I have permission to share just one gallery.

And what a beautiful gallery it is!

I will always respect my clients’ privacy. Not everyone wants their family photographs shared online, and that’s absolutely fine. Your photographs belong to you, and the decision to share them will always be yours.

But when someone gives me permission to share their images, it gives me the opportunity to show you what we created together.

This gallery is a lovely reminder of how special family photographs can be. The connections, the personalities, the little moments and the memories that become more precious as time passes.

It’s also a reminder that although boudoir photography is where my heart lies, I still love the opportunity to create beautiful photographs for families when the right enquiry comes along.

So, if you’ve found me through Google while searching for a family photographer in Scotland, please don’t be put off by the fact that I don’t actively advertise family sessions.

Get in touch!

Tell me what you’re looking for, and we can have a conversation about your ideas and whether I can help.

I might not shout about family photography from the rooftops, but my inbox is always open to an enquiry.

And to the four families I’ve seen recently, thank you for trusting me with your photographs. Whether your gallery is one I can share or one that stays just for you, I’m grateful you chose Robyn Allan Photography.

Now, go and have a look at this gorgeous gallery. I think you’ll see why I wanted to share it. ❤️
