Kimberley & Ross’s Beautiful Intimate Wedding at The Hermitage, Perthshire
On Wednesday, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Kim and Ross for their beautiful, intimate wedding at The Hermitage in Perthshire — and what a gorgeous day it was.

Surrounded by their closest friends and family, and of course their beloved dogs, their wedding was everything an intimate Scottish wedding should be: personal, relaxed, full of love and completely them.
The weather couldn’t have been more fitting for the setting. A gentle drizzle left the surrounding greenery sparkling, while the earthy browns of the woodland became deeper, warmer and beautifully golden. The Hermitage was looking absolutely glorious, creating the most incredible natural backdrop for their Scottish wedding photography.
A Wedding That Felt Truly Personal
One of the things that made this wedding particularly special for me was knowing Kimberley since 2021.
Over the years, I’ve had Kim in front of my camera in many different capacities, so being there to photograph such an important chapter of her life felt incredibly meaningful. Seeing her as a bride, surrounded by the people — and dogs — she loves most, was something I genuinely treasured.
And Ross, of course, was the perfect person for her to be sharing this day with.
There was something incredibly lovely about being able to capture a wedding that wasn’t about putting on a show. It was about two people committing to each other, surrounded by the people who matter most.
An Intimate Scottish Wedding at The Hermitage
The Hermitage is such a beautiful location for couples looking for something a little different from a traditional Scottish wedding venue. The woodland setting, dramatic landscape and natural surroundings provide an incredible backdrop for relaxed, authentic wedding photography.
For Kim and Ross, the surroundings perfectly complemented the atmosphere of their day.
The rain certainly didn’t take anything away from it. If anything, that little bit of Scottish drizzle made everything feel even more atmospheric. The wet leaves glistened, the woodland colours became richer and the whole setting felt wonderfully cinematic.
It was the kind of day where you simply want to slow down and take everything in.
I’m So Happy for You, Kim
After knowing Kim for several years and photographing so many different sides of her life, this wedding felt particularly special to me.
I’m utterly delighted that she has found her happiness.
She deserves happiness, and it was genuinely lovely to see her surrounded by so much love on her wedding day.
Kim and Ross, thank you for trusting me to photograph such an important and intimate day. It was an absolute pleasure to be there, and I’m so happy I got to capture these memories for you.
