Wild, Free & Completely Her Choice: A Forest Boudoir Session at Kinnoull Hill

When most people think of boudoir photography, they imagine luxurious hotel rooms, soft sheets, and elegant studio spaces.

But every now and then, a client wants something a little more adventurous.

Recently, I headed into the beautiful woodland surroundings of Kinnoull Hill for a boudoir session that felt wild, empowering, and completely connected to nature. Surrounded by towering trees and dappled sunlight filtering through the forest canopy, we created images that were equal parts beautiful, bold, and unapologetically authentic.

One of the things I loved most about this session was how perfectly it reflected my client’s personality. She wanted something different, something that felt like her. Not overly posed, not overly polished—just confidence, freedom, and a little bit of woodland magic.

The images are absolutely stunning.

And no, you won’t be seeing her face.

Not because she’s shy. Not because she isn’t proud of her photographs. Simply because that’s what she chose.

As a boudoir photographer, consent isn’t just important—it’s everything.

Every client who steps in front of my camera gets to decide how their images are used, what is shared, and what remains private. Some clients are happy for the world to see their photographs, while others prefer a little anonymity. Both choices are equally valid and equally respected.

Boudoir photography should always be empowering, and true empowerment comes from having complete control over your own image.

So while I can share a glimpse of this incredible forest session, the rest of the story belongs entirely to her.

And honestly? That’s exactly how it should be.

If you’ve ever dreamed of a boudoir experience that’s a little different from the norm—whether that’s in a woodland setting, on a Scottish beach, or somewhere completely unique to you—I’d love to help create something that feels authentically yours.
