Bridal boudoir - The perfect wedding gift for him, and a wonderful experience for you
There’s something incredibly special about taking time for yourself in the lead-up to your wedding day. Amid the planning, organising, and excitement, a bridal boudoir session offers a chance to pause, feel confident, and celebrate yourself exactly as you are.
As a Perth-based boudoir photographer, I’ve had the pleasure of working with brides from all over Scotland (and beyond) who travel to me for this experience—and it’s always such a meaningful part of their journey to the big day.
Why Choose a Bridal Boudoir Session?
Bridal boudoir isn’t just about photos—it’s about how it makes you feel.
It’s a confidence boost, a moment of calm before the wedding whirlwind, and for many, a beautiful gift for their partner. But more importantly, it’s something you do for you. A chance to see yourself in a different light—strong, beautiful, and completely in your element.
When Should You Book?
There’s no “perfect” timeline, but if I had to recommend one, I’d say around 6–8 weeks before your wedding.
This gives you plenty of time to:
Enjoy the session without last-minute stress
Receive your images
Decide how (or if) you’d like to use them as a gift
Most importantly, it means you can fully relax and enjoy the experience. My turnaround time is 24 hours so you can use that to gauge when’s best to book for you.
Some brides come DAYS before their wedding!
What to Expect
Many brides choose my £130 mini session, which is perfect for bridal boudoir. It includes:
A 40-minute session (in one of the sections I have)
All of your unedited images
9 professionally edited images of your choice
It’s designed to be simple, relaxed, and accessible—while still giving you a beautiful set of images to treasure.
What Should You Wear?
You’ll bring your own outfit, which keeps things personal and meaningful. This could be:
Bridal lingerie
A veil or wedding accessories
An oversized shirt or something sentimental
Or anything that makes you feel confident and comfortable
There’s no right or wrong here—it’s all about what feels like you.
Hair & Makeup
Professional makeup is available if you’d like that extra touch of glam. Some brides love being pampered, while others prefer a more natural look—both work beautifully.
After Your Session
While I don’t offer photobooks directly, I’m always happy to recommend trusted suppliers if you’d like to create something special with your images—whether that’s an album, prints, or a gift.
A Final Thought
Your wedding is about celebrating love—but this is a chance to celebrate yourself.
Bridal boudoir is about confidence, self-expression, and capturing a moment in time where you feel incredible. Whether you keep the images just for you or share them, it’s an experience that stays with you long after the wedding day has passed.
If you’re considering a bridal boudoir session, I’d love to welcome you to my Perth studio and create something truly special with you.
